Globalwin WBK38 (Modded)
Conclusion
Globalwin has come up with
a real winner here, even the WBK38 (the original unmodded version of
my hsf) runs just about as cool as the '55. And at $40 + shipping for
it, I don't see where you could go wrong. The only other hsf that I
can see that would beat it hands down would be the Swiftech MC462A,
but comes in at $75 CAN.
Only one thing I would like
to see worked on, a better damn clips design, I swear the damn thing
was going the crush the cpu because of the force I had to use to install
it. A copper insert would have also been nice but that would have made
the price a bit higher. Now my computer sits on the floor under a desk
so I can't hear much noise from it, but if you have this thing sitting
on your desk, its going to be loud. The shear size of the fan is impressive
I must say, and those grills are almost required for your protection,
@3000rpms I'm sure it could do some damage to little fingers or pets
that happen get to close. So if your in the market for some serious
cooling check out this one you won't be disappointed.
