This weekend, I'll be doing news and updating PQ from the comfort of the FRAGtopia event in Orangeville Ontario, Canada. The gang behind it are setting up for 200 players and have a load of prizes to hand out. I'll be travelling up Friday afternoon, leaving Hellchick on news duty for Friday night. This will be the largest LAN I've attended if the attendance is filled to capacity. Also up and kicking this weekend is the high octane Beatdown 21: Sicko de Mayo hosted by those nutbars at GameSpy.

FRAGtopia Update Quake III Arena News | 5/7/2000 | 7:26 PST - Pappy-R

After a nice early start and plenty of coffee, we're getting things together for day two of FRAGtopia. On the page now are a couple pics from the UT tourney, some news bits and now some Quake III demo action from the 1vs 1 tourney. Three demos are posted from preliminary and semi-final action. The finals are about to get cooking and the top three fighting it out for placements and prizes are Fon Fon, ki.MadBilly and [xeno]Dy-Syng. Watch for these demos to be posted after the fact, cause they'll be worth grabbing as well. Demos are on the FRAGtopia site in the "Games" section.

Well I'm home safe and sound from another blast of an event, and the first FRAGtopia is a fond memory for many. There will be some very cool demos posted tomorrow after things get sorted out, and trust me that these will be worth grabbing to check out. One person made a real mess at the event and walked away with two Voodoo3's, and a GeForce, along with various other goodies. The monster's name is [xeno]Dy-Syng and he cleaned up taking first in three top tournaments (Q2 FFA, Q3A FFA and Q3A 1 VS 1). Other names of note and mention that you will see in the article later this week are ki.Mad Billy, XeriC, Fon Fon and so many more. My thanks to my new buds at FRAGtopia, like the ring leader Kingpin. The full details with pics, words and demos coming soon. I have a new respect for the UT and Tribes crowd that you'll hear about later aswell, but for now, you go frag, and I'll go sleep.
