Wow. It's hard to believe it's actually over. After months of preparation and planning.... Hours and hours of setup..... 36 hours of hardcore gaming...... Some of the best games I've ever seen..
It's over.....
In one way I'm glad it's over... In another way I'm sad. It was great to meet and talk to some of the guys I've talked with for so long, and too see so many guys (and gals!) having a good time..... but I'm sad that it's over for another year..... Thanks to everyone who attended, you guys were a really great bunch, and some damned fine gamers.
Thanks to all the staff who put this thing together and made it work. I'm proud to call you my friends. It was great working with you all again!
Thanks to Pappy-R, Gizmo-Z, Will, Ash & Tippman from Planet Quake for a fine Quake III tourney. (And just being a cool buncha people!!)
Thanks to our sponsors. Dlink and Startech provided us with some great networking equipment. The Dlink switches that were the backbone of the network gave most of the gamers sub 20 pings, and in the case of the Quake III 1 on 1's, we're talking about 3-9 ping on average. Absolutely phenominal.
AMK Services, Startech, PC Tote, Mouse Skatez, Logitech Canada and Digital Extremes provided us with some great prizes for the players. Thanks guys!
Sierra Canada came through and provided us with posters and CD holders for everyone at the party. It was great that no-one went home empty handed. They also provided us with Tshirts, Hats and software for our draws. Thanks guys. (We also snagged some cool interview footage with the Sierra rep. More on this later.)
